Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo, lead pastor of David’s Christian Centre (DCC), has launched a Christian matchmaking and marriage-preparation platform offering membership packages of up to ₦700,000 annually.

The platform, known as Mentor To Marry, is designed for Christian singles seeking intentional, faith-based relationships and marriage. Okonkwo unveiled the initiative on social media, describing it as a guided community for serious Christian singles.

The platform has three paid membership categories.

The Regular package costs ₦70,000 annually and includes eight weeks of mentoring classes, assessments and surveys, limited profile browsing, an accountability system, weekly chats and access to a country-based matching pool.

The Premium package costs ₦350,000 annually and offers additional features, including unlimited profile browsing, monthly profile recommendations, priority access to coaches, global profiles, private groups and increased chat access.

The VIP package, which costs ₦700,000 annually, provides the highest level of access, including a dedicated matchmaker and coach, priority access to the platform’s founders, off-platform introductions, profile protection and access to global profiles.

According to the platform, prospective members begin with an eight-week mentoring programme involving assessments and guided reflection before they proceed to the matchmaking stage. Membership, however, does not guarantee a match, mutual interest or marriage.

Okonkwo said the platform was created against what he described as the growing commercialisation of modern relationships, which he believes has made it increasingly difficult for some young people to find genuine partners.

The launch has nevertheless generated mixed reactions online, particularly over the cost of the premium and VIP packages. Some Nigerians have questioned the affordability of a ₦700,000 matchmaking service, while others have pointed to the platform’s emphasis on mentoring and marriage preparation.
