ONDO ORDERS REMOVAL OF ABANDONED HEAVY VEHICLES, EQUIPMENT ON ROADS

The Ondo State Government has directed owners of abandoned heavy-duty vehicles and equipment obstructing roads and waterways across the state to remove them within seven days.

The government said the directive was necessary to improve road safety, ease traffic flow and prevent the abandoned vehicles and equipment from constituting hazards to road users and residents.

It warned that owners who fail to comply within the stipulated seven-day period would face appropriate sanctions, including possible removal and other enforcement measures by relevant government agencies.

The state government urged owners of affected vehicles and equipment to comply with the directive and clear them from roads and waterways within the given timeframe.

It also called on residents to cooperate with the authorities by reporting abandoned heavy-duty vehicles and equipment that could pose safety risks or obstruct public infrastructure.
