The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, members of the Rivers State House of Assembly and local government chairmen on Sunday met with Governor Siminalayi Fubara in Port Harcourt as efforts to consolidate peace in the state continued.
The meeting is seen as part of ongoing efforts to ease political tensions in Rivers State and strengthen cooperation among key political stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development comes amid the political crisis that has strained relations between Wike and Fubara, with the dispute drawing significant national attention.
