The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 56-year-old man, Madarikan Emehinola, over a suspected arson incident that reportedly led to the death of his 40-year-old wife.
The arrest followed an incident in which the victim allegedly died after a fire outbreak suspected to have been deliberately set.
The police are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident to establish what led to the fire and the woman’s death.
The suspect’s arrest forms part of ongoing efforts by the police to unravel the circumstances of the tragedy and determine any criminal responsibility.
