APC Ado-Ekiti LG Inaugurates Presidential Campaign Council, Target 90% Votes in 2027

All Progressives Congress (APC) Ado-Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State has inaugurated its Presidential Campaign Council for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 general elections, with a commitment to intensify grassroots mobilisation across the council area.

The inauguration, held at Feyisitan Hall, Oke-Isato, Ado-Ekiti, brought together party leaders, stakeholders, ward chairmen, youth and women leaders, as well as members of the campaign council from across the local government.

Speaking at the event, the Ado-Ekiti Local Government APC Chairman, Hon. Michael Akinleye, said the inauguration was in line with directives from the party’s national and state leadership to establish campaign structures across local government areas.

Akinleye described the exercise as a strategic step towards building an effective campaign structure capable of securing substantial votes for the party in the 2027 presidential election.

He disclosed that the campaign structure would be extended to all wards and polling units across the local government to ensure wider grassroots engagement.

He also announced plans to establish a special monitoring committee to supervise the activities of the various campaign committees and ensure accountability and effective performance.

He further explained that the campaign council would accommodate different interest groups, including farmers, traders, market women, youth organisations, religious leaders, support groups and persons living with disabilities.

Akinleye urged ward leaders to sustain regular meetings to keep party members informed about campaign strategies and developments.

The Ekiti State APC Chairman, Barr. Sola Elesin, called on party members to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging them to take the party’s campaign message to homes, markets, farms and other communities.

He also challenged members to work towards delivering the 90 per cent votes promised by Governor Biodun Oyebanji for President Tinubu in the state.

The inauguration ended with prayers and solidarity songs, as party members pledged their commitment to the campaign for the re-election of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima. Please help me edit the news story
