Arsenal have started the new season with silverware after defeating Manchester City 3-0 to win the Community Shield at the Principality Stadium.

The Gunners made a blistering start, taking the lead just 23 seconds into the game when Riccardo Calafiori converted a pass from Myles Lewis-Skelly to stun Pep Guardiola’s side.

Manchester City created opportunities to get back into the contest, but Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya produced several crucial saves to preserve his side’s clean sheet.

The Gunners managed the closing stages comfortably to secure a convincing victory and lift the Community Shield for the first time since 2023.
