The Jagabanist Support Group has commenced intensified mobilisation of its grassroots structures in Ekiti State ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with a meeting of local government coordinators held to strategise on the group’s support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The meeting, attended by the National Coordinator of the group, Barrister Temitope Omotayo, was also addressed by the Ekiti State Coordinator, Oyenike Akinlua, who engaged coordinators from the various local government areas on preparations for the group’s forthcoming conference.

The conference, scheduled for October 6 to 8, 2026, in Ekiti State, is expected to attract state coordinators and other representatives of the Jagabanist Support Group from across Nigeria.

According to the organisers, the conference will focus on strengthening the group’s structures and developing strategies for effective grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election, particularly in support of President Tinubu.

Akinlua urged the local government coordinators to remain committed to the group’s objectives and strengthen their presence at the grassroots in preparation for the forthcoming conference and the political activities ahead of the 2027 election.

Speaking at the meeting, the National Coordinator of the group, Temitope Omotayo highlighted what he described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration, urging members to sensitise Nigerians at the grassroots to the policies and programmes of the Federal Government.

He particularly mentioned initiatives in the education sector, stating that the administration had taken steps that had benefited students in higher institutions across the country.

The National Coordinator also cited federal government road projects and other infrastructure interventions as evidence of the administration’s efforts to improve infrastructure and development across Nigeria.

He called on members to remain united, organised and committed to grassroots mobilisation, stressing the importance of effective coordination in achieving the group’s objectives ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Omotayo added that the Jagabanist Support Group is also collaborating with the City Boys Movement as part of its mobilisation efforts ahead of the election.

The Ekiti meeting, according to the organisers, is part of a broader mobilisation programme designed to strengthen the group’s local government structures and ensure adequate preparation for the October conference and subsequent political activities leading to the 2027 presidential election.
