The Lagos State Police Command has sealed a suspected illegal factory allegedly used to produce adulterated alcoholic drinks in the Yafin area of Badagry, Lagos State, and arrested a 48-year-old man, Anaebo Emeka Hilary, in connection with the operation.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement, saying the operation followed credible information provided by members of the public.

According to the statement, police operatives discovered the suspected factory and recovered adulterated alcoholic drinks, empty bottles, wine labels and production equipment allegedly used to manufacture and package the products.

The police said the suspected factory had been sealed, while Hilary was taken into custody. The recovered items were also transferred to the police station for further investigation.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, commended the operatives for acting on the information and urged residents to continue providing credible information to help combat crime.

The command also encouraged members of the public to report suspected criminal activities through its emergency lines.
