The Nigerian Army, through Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), has declared several top commanders of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) wanted following what it described as a major intelligence breakthrough in the ongoing counter-insurgency operations in the North-East.

The operation reportedly led to the recovery of technical equipment, including a camcorder allegedly used for terrorist propaganda during military offensives in the Lake Chad region. Security sources said forensic analysis of the recovered materials enabled the military to identify key ISWAP leaders operating in Borno State’s Abadam and Kukawa areas.

Among those declared wanted is Abu Musa Al-Mangawi Baa Shuwa, identified as the Wali (Governor) of ISWAP and regarded as the group’s most wanted leader in the Lake Chad Basin. The Army said a substantial financial reward would be offered for credible information leading to his arrest.Also on the wanted list is Muhammad Jidda, popularly known as “The One-Handed Man,” who serves as the group’s Deputy Governor and Amirul Jaish, the commander of the Jaish unit. Authorities have placed a ₦10 million bounty on him.

Another high-profile suspect is Ibn Muhammad, identified as the commander of the Amniyya unit, with the Nigerian Army announcing a ₦50 million reward for information leading to his capture.

The Army assured members of the public that the identities of informants would be treated with the highest level of confidentiality. Citizens with credible information have been urged to report through security agencies or the designated hotline 0708 498 8859.Authorities also warned residents not to confront the wanted suspects, stressing that they are considered dangerous and should only be reported to the appropriate security agencies.
