The late Nollywood actress and producer, Temitope Osoba, popularly known as Tope Osoba, will be laid to rest in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

The burial arrangement was announced by the actress’ family in an obituary shared on her official Instagram page on Monday.

According to the family, Osoba’s body will depart the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, at 9am ahead of the burial service scheduled to hold between 10am and 11am.

The service will take place at Akesan Club, opposite the Iperu Morning Market in Iperu Remo, Ogun State.

The family said the late actress would be interred at the Iperu Remo Cemetery immediately after the burial service, with mourners expected to dress in white.

The obituary read in part, “Body leaves OSUTH Sagamu by 9am. Burial service Thursday, 10th of September, 10:00am–11:00am, Akesan Club opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.”

It added that the interment would take place immediately after the service at the Iperu Remo Cemetery.

Osoba died in early August 2026 at the age of 40, leaving behind colleagues, fans and family members in mourning.

The Yoruba-language actress had spent nearly two decades in the Nigerian movie industry and featured in several productions, including Oogun Mi.

Before her death, Osoba had publicly battled breast cancer and sought financial support from members of the public for her medical treatment and surgery.

In August 2025, she announced that she had recovered from the illness and was returning to acting, describing the period as a new chapter of healing, rebranding and empowerment.

However, circumstances surrounding her death generated controversy, following conflicting accounts from her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, and members of her family.

While her fiancé reportedly alleged that she died after being taken to a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State, family members gave a different account of her final moments.

The controversy prompted calls from some members of the entertainment industry, including actor Yomi Fabiyi, for an investigation and autopsy to determine the actual circumstances surrounding her death.

The family subsequently appealed to the public and media organisations to avoid spreading unverified information and rely only on official statements concerning the actress’ demise.

Temitope Osoba’s burial was initially scheduled for August 13, 2026, but was later postponed indefinitely by her family.

The family has now fixed Thursday, September 10, 2026, as the final date for the burial of the late Nollywood star in Iperu Remo, Ogun State.
