Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has approved an upward review of the salaries and allowances of traditional rulers across the state.
The approval covers emirs, chiefs, district heads and village heads across Kaduna’s three senatorial districts, with increased salaries and security allowances included in the new package.
Ahmed Maiyaki, Commissioner for Information and Culture, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday.
Maiyaki said the review was part of the state government’s efforts to improve the welfare of traditional rulers and strengthen the traditional institution across Kaduna State.
