The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) and former Akwa Ibom State Governor, Victor Attah, have denied endorsing or backing any presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general election.

The denial comes amid reports suggesting that the regional organisation and the former governor had thrown their weight behind a particular candidate for the forthcoming presidential poll.

PANDEF, however, clarified that it had not adopted or endorsed any presidential aspirant, stressing that its position should not be misconstrued as support for any individual seeking to succeed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The forum, which represents the interests of the Niger Delta region, reiterated its commitment to promoting the welfare and development of the region, while maintaining its independence in political matters.
