KWAM1 Responds as Renewed Paternity Allegations Spark Online Debate

Veteran Fuji musician K1 De Ultimate, popularly known as KWAM1, has responded indirectly after renewed paternity allegations surfaced online, reigniting public discussion across social media.

The controversy began after a woman publicly claimed that the Fuji icon fathered her daughter, Azizat. In a widely circulated interview, she alleged that she was in a relationship with the singer for more than seven years before becoming pregnant.

According to the woman, KWAM1 was unhappy about the pregnancy and allegedly asked her to terminate it. She claimed she refused, choosing instead to keep the baby and raise the child on her own.

She also said she first met the musician while working as a hairstylist and nail technician. The woman further alleged that when her daughter turned one, she sought intervention from respected community leaders, including the late traditional ruler Agba Akin. She added that KWAM1’s late mother reportedly became emotional after seeing the child, allegedly commenting on the strong resemblance between them.

Although the Fuji star has not directly addressed the allegations in a formal statement, many social media users believe he made a subtle reference to the controversy in a recently circulated performance. In the video, KWAM1 sang that “any unplanned pregnancy is a free gift,” a lyric that has been widely interpreted as his response to the renewed claims.

The performance quickly triggered mixed reactions online. While some users called on the veteran entertainer to address the allegations more directly, others argued that the matter remains a private issue and should not be tried on social media. Some commenters also questioned the woman’s decision to continue the relationship, while others stressed that issues involving paternity should be resolved through appropriate legal or scientific means rather than public speculation.

The renewed allegations come only weeks after KWAM1 attracted widespread attention following the death of his mother. The Fuji legend was the subject of online debate after performing at a wedding shortly after her burial, with opinions divided over his decision.

As discussions continue across social media, the paternity claims remain unverified, and no court ruling or publicly available DNA test has confirmed the allegations. Many observers are now watching to see whether either party will provide further evidence or issue a more detailed public statement.
