A car crash has occurred at the Abete area along Ilawe Road in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, following an alleged race between two vehicles and excessive speeding.

The incident, which occurred today, reportedly involved one of the two vehicles, which veered off the road before being redirected by a pile of granite near a gutter.

No casualties were reported in the crash.Following the incident, residents of the community have renewed calls for the installation of a speed breaker along the road to curb reckless driving and excessive speeding.

They warn that failure to address the situation could lead to more serious accidents, resulting in injuries or loss of lives, and have urged the relevant authorities to take urgent action to improve road safety in the area.
