Desmond Elliot Returns to Nollywood After APC Primary Defeat.

Popular actor-turned-politician, Desmond Elliot, has reportedly returned to Nollywood following his defeat in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Surulere Constituency I ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The development comes after photographs and videos surfaced online showing Elliot on a movie set alongside renowned actor Ibrahim Chatta.

The images captured both actors engaged in discussions during what appeared to be an ongoing film production, sparking excitement among fans and industry observers.

Many social media users welcomed the former Nollywood star’s apparent return to acting, expressing anticipation for his appearance on screen after spending years in active politics as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Elliot, who has represented Surulere Constituency I for three consecutive terms, recently suffered a setback in his political career after losing the APC primary election. He was defeated by Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, who secured a commanding majority of votes in the contest.

The actor first gained prominence through his successful career in Nollywood before transitioning into politics in 2015. His possible return to filmmaking has generated significant interest among fans eager to see him resume his acting career.
