All Eyes on Rabat as Super Falcons Seek Crucial Victory Over Egypt

Nigeria’s Super Falcons will take on Egypt in a crucial Group C encounter at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Wednesday night, with a place in the quarter-finals firmly in their sights. The match will be played at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, as the nine-time African champions look to secure qualification without relying on results elsewhere.

The Falcons recovered from a shock 3-2 opening defeat to Malawi by grinding out a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Zambia despite playing much of the game with 10 players. Asisat Oshoala’s early goal proved decisive, keeping Nigeria’s knockout-stage hopes alive ahead of their final group match.
