The Commander of the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps, Major General GM Mutkut, has honoured soldiers retiring from the Nigerian Army after 35 years of service.
The recognition celebrates the retiring personnel for their years of commitment, discipline and contributions to the Nigerian Army and the country’s military service.
The soldiers dedicated more than three decades to serving the nation, carrying out military duties and supporting the Army’s responsibilities in safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and national security.
The honour also underscores the importance of recognising military personnel who have devoted significant portions of their lives to national service.
As they exit active military service, the retiring soldiers are expected to begin a new chapter of their lives after decades in uniform.
The ceremony reflects the Nigerian Army’s tradition of acknowledging personnel for their service and contributions to the institution.
