The Ekiti State Government has ordered the immediate dissolution of the executive of the Okada Riders Association across the state.

The government’s decision followed a recommendation by the Board of Trustees of the Okada Riders Association, Ekiti State Chapter.

A statement issued on Thursday, September 24, 2026, said a caretaker committee had been constituted to oversee the affairs of the association pending further arrangements.

The 10-member caretaker committee is made up of:

1. Kunle Asaolu – Chairman
2. Adelegan Olowuro Sunday – Deputy Chairman
3. Alade Gbenga – Secretary
4. Saka Salami – Member
5. Ajibade Ojo Ademola Omotuyi – Member
6. Ayodeji Jegede – Member
7. Lukman Saka – Member
8. Joseph Emmanuel – Member
9. Oloruntola Idowu – Member
10. Agboola Emmanuel – Member

According to the government, the newly constituted caretaker committee will be responsible for overseeing the activities and affairs of the Okada Riders Association in Ekiti State.

The committee is scheduled to be inaugurated on Friday, September 25, 2026.

The inauguration will take place at the Ministry of Transportation, Old Governor’s Office, Ado-Ekiti, at 10:00 a.m.

The directive was signed by the Ekiti State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. K.K. Ajobiewe.

The development marks a change in the leadership structure of the Okada Riders Association in Ekiti State, with the caretaker committee expected to assume responsibility for the association’s affairs immediately after its inauguration.
