It’s not yet time to predict who will win 2027 Presidential election-Primate Ayodele.

The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele, has dismissed reports claiming he predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would lose the 2027 presidential election.

In a statement issued on Tuesday through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric described the reports as a deliberate distortion of his remarks, allegedly carried out by political interests and some media platforms.

Ayodele explained that during a live church service on Sunday, he did not state that President Tinubu would be defeated in the next presidential election. Rather, he said, “If Tinubu loses the election, it will be painful for him,” a statement he claimed was wrongly interpreted and reported as a prophecy of defeat.

According to the cleric, recordings of the service are publicly available and clearly show what was said.

“I have read in several reports that I said President Tinubu will lose his re-election bid in 2027. There is nowhere I made such a statement. What I said was that if he loses, it would be painful for him,” Ayodele stated.

He accused some political actors and media organisations of twisting his prophecies for personal and political gains, describing the development as unprofessional and irresponsible.

The religious leader stressed that it was not yet time for him to reveal his prediction regarding the outcome of the 2027 presidential election, adding that he would make such revelations when he deemed it appropriate.

“When the time is right, I will definitely reveal who will win the upcoming presidential election. Until then, it is wrong to attribute statements to me that I never made,” he said.

Ayodele further urged journalists and media organisations to seek clarification from his media office whenever there is uncertainty regarding his statements, rather than publishing what he described as false reports.

He also called on media practitioners to uphold professionalism and accuracy in their reportage, warning against the misrepresentation of his prophecies and public comments.

The cleric’s reaction follows widespread reports suggesting he had foretold a defeat for President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, a claim he now insists is entirely false.
