Makinde Predicts Bala Mohammed Will Become Senate President in 2027.

The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, Seyi Makinde, has expressed confidence that his party will win the 2027 general election, predicting that Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed will emerge as the next Senate President.

Makinde made the declaration on Thursday during the APM South-West town hall meeting in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

He described the party’s proposed agenda as a reset plan for Nigeria, expressing optimism that Nigerians would support the APM in the forthcoming elections.

While referring to Mohammed, who is the party’s national leader, Makinde said the governor would move from the Bauchi State Government House to the National Assembly and eventually become Senate President.

Makinde said, “APM is going to win this election overwhelmingly because this is the reset agenda being put before Nigerians. So, I dare to say that my national leader is the incoming Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

The APM presidential candidate also challenged Nigerians to assess presidential aspirants based on their energy and ability to address the country’s challenges, rather than making age a major consideration.

He argued that the demands of leadership required candidates capable of working late and responding effectively to national issues.

“While I will not make age an issue in this campaign, I will make energy, having energy, being able to stay up late to deal with the challenges we face as a country,” he said.

Makinde added that presidential candidates should demonstrate their physical and mental capacity to lead before asking Nigerians for their votes.
