The Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, have commenced strategic engagements towards developing the All Progressives Congress (APC) policy agenda and manifesto for the 2027 general elections.

Audu, who serves as Secretary of the Policy and Manifesto Development Directorate of the 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council, met with Oduwole, Deputy Director of the Directorate, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to begin work on the proposed policy document.

The discussions focused on developing practical and forward-looking policies covering key areas of national development, including security, economic growth, industrialisation, trade and investment, healthcare, education and infrastructure.

Other areas identified for consideration include youth and women empowerment, job creation, food security, innovation and the digital economy.

The engagement forms part of a wider consultative process aimed at producing a comprehensive manifesto that will highlight the achievements of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reflect the aspirations of Nigerians and offer sustainable solutions to the country’s challenges.

The Directorate is being led by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, as Chairman.

The meeting, according to the campaign council, underscores the Directorate’s commitment to leveraging the expertise of experienced policymakers and sector leaders in developing a people-centred policy agenda.

The proposed manifesto is expected to articulate the APC’s vision for inclusive economic growth, national development and shared prosperity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
