Niyi John Olajide Bags Ekiti Builder Leadership Award

Philanthropist and businessman, Mr. Niyi John Olajide, has received the Ekiti Builder Leadership Award from the Editorial Board of Kayegbo International Magazine in recognition of his contributions to economic development, job creation and community transformation in Ekiti State.

The award recognises Olajide’s investments and philanthropic activities, which the organisers said have contributed to employment creation and the growth of agriculture, tourism and private-sector investment in the state.

Olajide, who has investments in Agbeyewa and Ikogosi, currently provides employment for more than 1,000 people, according to the organisers.

His investments in Ekiti include what the organisers described as the largest cassava farm in Africa, as well as the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort, which they said has been adjudged Nigeria’s best resort for three consecutive years.

The Editorial Board said Olajide’s investments have positioned him among the private-sector contributors helping to drive economic activities in Ekiti State.

According to the board, the award is a recognition of his vision, enterprise, philanthropy and commitment to community development.

The board further noted that purposeful entrepreneurship, when combined with social responsibility, could contribute significantly to transforming communities and strengthening the local economy.

It commended Olajide for deploying his resources toward economic development and urged other private investors to support initiatives capable of creating jobs and promoting sustainable development in Ekiti State.

The Ekiti Builder Leadership Award, the board said, is also intended to celebrate individuals whose investments and leadership contribute to the growth and development of the state.
