Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the June 20, 2026 Ekiti State governorship election, Dr. Wole Oluyede, has declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, urging members of his political alliance to begin grassroots mobilisation across the state.
Oluyede, who is the convener of the Oluyede Progressive Alliance for Renewed Hope Agenda, made the declaration during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting of the alliance in Ado-Ekiti.
He called on members to embark on intensive grassroots engagement and election sensitisation across the 16 local government areas of Ekiti State, targeting market women, youths, artisans, community leaders and other groups without discrimination.
According to him, President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda transcends political party affiliations and deserves collective support in the interest of national development, stability and continuity.
Oluyede described the president’s leadership as courageous, noting that his administration had taken difficult but necessary decisions to move the country forward.
He also stressed that the alliance would adopt a non-partisan approach, welcoming individuals from the PDP, All Progressives Congress (APC), Accord Party, Labour Party and other political parties who share its commitment to good governance and national cohesion.
The meeting reportedly ended with a resolution to activate ward-level structures and commence door-to-door sensitisation on the achievements of the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development signals Oluyede’s stated intention to mobilise cross-party support for Tinubu’s re-election bid in Ekiti State.
