The Oluyede Progressive Alliance for Renewed Hope Agenda (OPARHA) is set to hold a 20,000-step Mega Walk in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, September 29, as part of activities aimed at mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The walk, according to the organisers, will commence from the Ajilosun area and terminate at the Fajuyi Pavilion, where members of OPARHA and new entrants into the movement are expected to converge.

OPARHA was initiated by Dr Wole Oluyede, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the June 20, 2026 Ekiti governorship election, following his decision to support President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Oluyede had earlier announced the formation of OPARHA as a platform for grassroots mobilisation and collaboration among supporters and political groups across party lines in support of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The alliance has reportedly attracted members and supporters from different political groups, including the PDP, Accord, Action Democratic Party, Young Progressive Party and Action Alliance, among others.

The planned Mega Walk is expected to provide an opportunity for members to further mobilise at the grassroots and restate their commitment to the movement’s objective of supporting Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Oluyede recently reiterated his support for Tinubu and said he would work with Governor Biodun Oyebanji towards securing strong support for the President in Ekiti.

During a recent meeting with Oluyede, Oyebanji also described their collaboration as being in the interest of Ekiti State, saying their shared commitment to the development and peace of the state remained a major factor behind their engagement.

The OPARHA Mega Walk therefore comes as part of the group’s ongoing mobilisation efforts as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general election.
