Founder of the Modupe Adelabu Political Group, Professor (Mrs.) Modupe Adeola Adelabu, has led members of the group on a humanitarian visit to the Special School, Ido-Ekiti, to encourage students living with disabilities and promote inclusive development.
During the visit, Adelabu assured the students that their physical challenges would not determine their future, urging them to remain hopeful, believe in themselves and trust God for a brighter tomorrow.
Drawing inspiration from the biblical accounts of Hezekiah and Jonathan, she reminded the students that everyone has a purpose in God’s creation and should not allow present circumstances to limit their dreams and aspirations.
Earlier, the group’s Coordinator, Mrs. Adejuwon Lolu, said the visit was aimed at demonstrating love, solidarity and support for persons living with disabilities.
She also offered prayers for the students, school management and members of the group, seeking God’s guidance, strength and blessings for them.
Responding, the school principal expressed appreciation to Professor Adelabu and members of the group for identifying with the students, describing the visit as unprecedented since the establishment of the institution.
He commended the group for making the students feel valued and remembered, while encouraging them to sensitise their parents and eligible family members on the importance of participating in the January 2027 election.
The visit ended with a celebration involving the professor, members of the group, school staff and students, who participated in songs and dancing.
Prayers were also offered at the end of the gathering, while group photographs were taken to commemorate the occasion.
