The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 52-year-old Islamic teacher, Jubril Ibrahim, for allegedly preparing charms for suspected kidnappers operating in the Edo North Senatorial District.

The suspect was reportedly apprehended by operatives of the command following intelligence linking him to individuals allegedly involved in kidnapping activities in the area.

According to the police, Ibrahim allegedly prepared charms believed to be used by suspected kidnappers to evade security operatives and carry out their criminal activities.

The arrest forms part of ongoing efforts by the Edo State Police Command to disrupt kidnapping networks and apprehend individuals suspected of supporting criminal activities in the state.

The police said investigations are ongoing to establish the full extent of the suspect’s involvement and identify other individuals connected to the alleged kidnapping network.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to tackling kidnapping and other violent crimes across Edo State, urging residents to provide security agencies with credible information that could assist ongoing operations.
