‘Jagun Jagun 2’ Set for Netflix Premiere on December 4.

Highly anticipated Nollywood epic sequel, Jagun Jagun 2: War of Warriors, is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on December 4, 2026.

The film’s producer, Femi Adebayo, announced the release date in a post on his official Instagram page, confirming the return of the epic franchise following the success of the original film in 2023.

The announcement featured a teaser describing a world shaped by war, fear and power struggles, with the caption suggesting that the legacy of a feared warrior continues to influence events even in his absence.

The first instalment, Jagun Jagun: The Warrior, tells the story of Gbotija, a young man who joins the army of Ogundiji, a powerful warlord, in his quest to become a formidable warrior.

His journey exposes him to the brutal realities of warfare, loyalty, ambition and revenge.

Produced by Femi Adebayo and directed by Tope Adebayo Salami and Adebayo Tijani, the original film featured prominent actors, including Lateef Adedimeji, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Yekini, Bukunmi Oluwasina, Bimbo Ademoye, Faithia Balogun, Muyiwa Ademola, Adebayo Salami and Mr Macaroni.

The production earned recognition at the 2024 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, winning Best Indigenous Language Movie (West Africa) and Best Costume Design.

While the sequel’s title and release date have been confirmed, details of its storyline and full cast are yet to be officially announced.

Its return has, however, raised expectations among fans eager to revisit the world of Yoruba traditional warfare, royal intrigue and fierce battles for power.
