The Executive Director of the South West Development Commission (SWDC), Chief Lateef Ajijola, has urged voters in Ekiti Central Senatorial District to support All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 general elections to ensure continuity in governance and sustained development.
Ajijola called on the electorate to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Hon. Olusola Fatoba and Rt. Hon. Oladapo Karounwi, describing them as capable of delivering effective representation and attracting development to the district.
The APC chieftain, popularly known as Always Standing, made the appeal during an interview at his residence, where he urged party supporters and residents to rally behind the party’s candidates contesting various elective positions.
He said political continuity and cooperation among the different levels of government were necessary to sustain ongoing development projects, strengthen existing programmes and create more economic opportunities.
Ajijola also stressed that electing APC candidates into the National Assembly and Ekiti State House of Assembly would promote quality legislation and effective representation.
He expressed confidence that collaboration between the Federal Government, the Ekiti State Government and elected representatives would attract more federal projects, improve infrastructure and stimulate economic activities.
The SWDC director cautioned voters against being swayed by temporary inducements and political promises, urging them to consider the long-term interests of their communities when making electoral choices.
He further called for unity among APC supporters and encouraged residents to participate actively in the electoral process.
