The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports that it has withdrawn its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council list, describing the reports as rumours.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made the clarification on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, following reports suggesting that the party had withdrawn the list recently released as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Morka said the party had not withdrawn the list and would officially communicate any changes to its composition.

“It’s rumour. If there is any change to the list, it will be formally announced,” the APC spokesman said.

The clarification comes amid growing reactions within the ruling party and among its stakeholders over the composition of the APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.

The party had recently released the list as part of its preparations for the 2027 presidential election, in which President Bola Tinubu is seeking re-election.

The list generated discussions among APC members, with some party stakeholders raising concerns over the inclusion and exclusion of certain political figures.

The reactions subsequently triggered speculation that the APC might review or withdraw the campaign council list.

However, Morka’s latest statement indicates that the list remains valid unless the party officially announces otherwise.

He stressed that any adjustment to the 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council would be formally communicated through the appropriate party channels.

The development is expected to ease speculation surrounding the ruling party’s campaign structure ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
