American country music legend, Dolly Parton, has died at the age of 80.
Parton died on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee, with her family confirming her death.
The singer-songwriter, actress and philanthropist enjoyed a career spanning nearly six decades, becoming globally renowned for hits including Jolene, 9 to 5 and I Will Always Love You.
Parton, who won 10 Grammy Awards and sold more than 100 million records, was also widely celebrated for her philanthropic work, particularly her efforts to promote children’s literacy through the Imagination Library.
