A female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Oluwatosin Abidakun, has died after a truck rammed into the motorcycle conveying her around Agodi Gardens in Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to a report shared on social media, Abidakun had recently resumed her primary assignment at the Oyo State House of Assembly before the fatal incident occurred on Monday.

The report stated that the truck driver had allegedly hit several vehicles around the Sango area before proceeding towards Agodi Gardens.

Affected motorists were reportedly pursuing the driver when the truck rammed into the motorcycle carrying the corps member.

The incident has sparked concern over road safety and the dangers posed by reckless driving, particularly in busy areas of the state capital.

Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, reportedly described the incident as a painful and devastating loss.
