The Nigerian Air Force says it will engage relevant environmental and public health authorities to address residents’ concerns over an offensive odour and possible environmental impact of the aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State.

The Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF Headquarters, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, gave the assurance in a statement issued on Thursday.

He said the Air Force recognised the discomfort, anxiety and uncertainty among residents, assuring them that their concerns were being taken seriously.

Ejodame explained that search and recovery operations were ongoing, with the NAF working alongside relevant agencies to ensure the safe and orderly recovery of the wreckage.
