Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has disclosed that he began casting out demons at the age of 17, saying his early religious experiences shaped his approach to confronting insecurity in the state.

Okpebholo made the disclosure while speaking about his administration’s efforts to tackle insecurity and restore safety across Edo State.

The governor said his involvement in religious activities began at a young age, adding that the experience gave him an early understanding of spiritual warfare and the challenges confronting communities.

According to him, his commitment to fighting insecurity is connected to his longstanding belief in protecting lives and creating a safer environment for residents.

He said his administration would continue to adopt measures aimed at addressing security challenges while working with relevant security agencies and community stakeholders.

Okpebholo has repeatedly identified security as a major priority of his administration, particularly in efforts to protect residents, businesses and communities across Edo State.
