SERVICOM URGES PUBLIC SERVANTS TO STOP DELAYING CITIZENS’ REQUESTS.

The Service Compact with All Nigerians, SERVICOM, has urged public servants to respond promptly to citizens’ requests and improve service delivery across government institutions.

The Acting National Coordinator of SERVICOM, Helen Lawal, made the call during the 2026 JAMB Customer Service Week held in Abuja from October 19 to 23.

Lawal said the theme of the event, “Going the Extra Mile,” should serve as a reminder to public institutions to improve the way they attend to citizens.

She described the theme as a strategic call to action for Ministries, Departments and Agencies to raise the standard of service delivery across Nigeria’s public sector.

Similarly, the Head of Operations at SERVICOM, Ngozi Akinbodewa, said going the extra mile involves responding to requests within stipulated timelines, explaining procedures clearly and following up on pending matters.

Akinbodewa urged public servants to strengthen collaboration to ensure that citizens and other stakeholders receive timely assistance.
