Shafts Wale Alleges False Cheating Rumors Damages Friendship with Burna Boy

Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has claimed that his once-friendly relationship with Nigerian Afrobeats icon Burna Boy fell apart due to false accusations of infidelity.

In a recent interview on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Shatta Wale explained that he had warmly hosted Burna Boy during a visit to Ghana, offering him accommodation, transportation, and other support to ensure a pleasant stay.

However, he alleged that things took a negative turn after he parted ways with some members of his management team. According to him, these former associates spread rumours suggesting he had an inappropriate relationship with Burna Boy’s girlfriend at the time.

“They told Burna Boy that I was sleeping with his girlfriend when he came to Ghana, and he believed them,” Shatta Wale said during the interview.

The award-winning artiste added that his efforts to reconnect with Burna Boy following the latter’s rise to global fame were unsuccessful, as his calls and messages reportedly went unanswered.

He further revealed that he reached out to Burna Boy’s mother and manager, Bose Ogulu, in an attempt to clear the air. However, he claimed she only provided explanations for why Burna Boy was unavailable to speak with him.

Despite the rift, Shatta Wale maintained that he is genuinely happy about Burna Boy’s international success. Nonetheless, he expressed disappointment that he was never given the chance to address and refute the allegations.

As of now, neither Burna Boy nor his management team has publicly responded to the claims.
