Ekiti Government Reschedules SUBEB Recruitment Examination.
The Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has rescheduled its recruitment examination for applicants seeking employment into the state’s basic education system.
Report says yhe rescheduling of the recruitment examination for applicants seeking to occupy vacant positions in the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB may be due to surge in the number of applicants.
Though the Board has not given the exact number of applicants between Tuesday, August 4 when the registration was declared open and the time of the announcement in the rescheduled dates, it was gathered that the decision to adjust the dates maybe be connected to increase in numbers of applicants.
The examination, initially scheduled for Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15, 2026, will now take place from Thursday, August 13 to Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The Board’s Permanent Secretary, Mr Mike Omolayo, announced the adjustment in a statement, explaining that the change was necessitated by the high volume of applications received for the recruitment exercise.
According to him, applicants who successfully submitted their applications will receive notifications through the email addresses provided during the application process.
The notification will contain the specific date and time each applicant is expected to sit for the Computer-Based Test (CBT), which will be conducted at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.
Omolayo urged applicants to strictly comply with their assigned examination dates and times, warning that the Board would not tolerate candidates loitering around the examination centre outside their allotted periods.
He said only applicants who have been duly invited will be allowed into the examination halls.
“Only invited applicants are expected to come to the CBT centre with their printed application forms for admission into the Examination hall at the time allotted to them,” he stated.
The Permanent Secretary further clarified that only successful applicants with NCE or a Degree in Education, or a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) would be considered for appointment.
He also warned candidates against bringing mobile phones and other electronic devices into the examination halls, stressing that such items would not be permitted.
Applicants are therefore advised to regularly check the email addresses used during their applications for their examination schedules and to arrive at the CBT centre only at their assigned time.
