Police Arrest Six Suspected Cultists After Violent Clash in Ikere-Ekiti.

The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested six suspected members of the Alora Confraternity following a violent clash at a hotel in Ikere-Ekiti.

The Command says the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday at Inspiration Hotel, where the suspects allegedly gathered for a meeting before a fight broke out among them.

According to the Police, one of the suspected cult members sustained serious injuries during the clash and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, working with officers from the Ilupeju Police Division, arrested six suspects during a raid on the scene.

Police say the suspects allegedly confessed during preliminary investigation to being members of the Alora Confraternity.

Items recovered from the suspects include a Toyota Camry car, face caps and plastic cups bearing the group’s logo, a blood-stained shirt, a pair of scissors, a yellow wristband and a key holder.

The Police also say investigations have commenced into the role of the hotel in allegedly allowing its premises to be used for suspected cult activities, while efforts are ongoing to arrest other fleeing suspects.
