The Federal Government has trained 700 youths in Oyo State in vocational skills and provided them with starter kits as part of its broader plan to lift five million Nigerians out of poverty.
The initiative is aimed at equipping young people with practical skills to promote self-reliance, support entrepreneurship and improve their economic opportunities.
The distribution of starter kits is expected to enable the beneficiaries to establish small businesses, apply their newly acquired skills and generate income for themselves.
The programme forms part of the Federal Government’s poverty reduction efforts, which seek to expand access to vocational training and economic empowerment opportunities across the country.
By targeting five million Nigerians, the government aims to strengthen livelihoods, reduce unemployment and encourage productive participation in the economy.
