Ogun CP Summons Four Officers Over Viral Assault Video.

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, has summoned four police officers captured in a viral video assaulting a young man in Ijagba, Sango-Ota, to the state command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

The police spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, saying the officers had been identified and immediate action ordered in line with established procedures.

The viral video showed police officers pinning the young man to the ground before handcuffing him, sparking widespread public outrage over their conduct.

A voice accompanying the video alleged that the young man was arrested for wearing camouflage shorts and questioned the officers’ treatment of him.

Babaseyi said the command remained committed to accountability, professional discipline and the highest standards of policing.

He added that the four officers were already on their way to the command headquarters, assuring the public that further updates would be provided as developments unfold.
