Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the immediate disengagement of all Directors-General (DGs) of government agencies and Technical Advisers (TAs) serving in his administration.
The directive was announced in a press release issued on Tuesday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Olayinka Oyebode.
According to the statement, the affected officials are expected to submit their handover notes to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government with immediate effect.
The development comes barely 24 hours after Oyebanji dissolved the State Executive Council, marking the completion of the disengagement process for political appointees in his administration.
However, the statement noted that a few appointees would retain their positions due to the nature of their assignments.
Oyebanji expressed appreciation to the affected Directors-General and Technical Advisers for their support, commitment and contributions to his administration and the development of Ekiti State.
The governor also wished them success in their future endeavours.
