APGA Backs Soludo’s Appointment to Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign Council.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has congratulated Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, on his appointment as the Anambra State Coordinator of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.

The party described the appointment as recognition of Soludo’s leadership qualities, commitment to progressive ideals and advocacy for collaboration between APGA and the Federal Government.

Soludo’s appointment was contained in the revised All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council list released on Tuesday ahead of the 2027 general election.

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, APGA said Soludo’s inclusion reflected his efforts to strengthen cooperation between the state and the Federal Government for the benefit of Anambra State and the South-East.

The party also reaffirmed its support for Tinubu’s re-election bid, recalling that it adopted the President as its consensus candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

According to the statement, APGA reached the decision at its National Executive Committee meeting and during Tinubu’s working visit to Anambra State on May 8, 2025.

The party said its decision not to field a presidential candidate in 2027 was consistent with its commitment to working with the President and the progressive movement at the centre.

Opara maintained that APGA and the APC shared common ideological values, adding that their cooperation had facilitated federal support for critical infrastructure projects and economic development initiatives in Anambra State.

He, however, stressed that APGA remained firmly in control of the state and would maintain its political identity in other elections.

The party expressed confidence that Soludo’s intellectual capacity, organisational experience and acceptance across the South-East would help mobilise support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

APGA concluded by congratulating Soludo on the appointment, expressing optimism that the partnership would further strengthen political cooperation between the state and the Federal Government.
