Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, will on Monday present newly acquired operational vehicles to security agencies in the state as part of efforts to strengthen security and combat crime.

The presentation ceremony will be held at the Osuntokun Pavilion, Government House Grounds, Ado-Ekiti, where the vehicles will be formally handed over to the heads of various security agencies.

The initiative is aimed at enhancing the operational capacity of security agencies across Ekiti State by providing them with additional logistics and mobility needed to respond effectively to security challenges.

According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Olayinka Oyebode, the provision of the vehicles underscores the commitment of the Biodun Oyebanji administration to tackling crime and criminality in the state.

Oyebode said the gesture was also part of the administration’s sustained investment in the safety, welfare and overall wellbeing of residents.

He added that the initiative aligns with the administration’s Shared Prosperity agenda, which places emphasis on creating a safe and conducive environment for residents and businesses.

The presentation is expected to bring together the heads and representatives of various security agencies operating in Ekiti State.

The state government said the move further demonstrates its commitment to supporting security agencies with the necessary equipment and operational resources to maintain peace and security across the state.

The ceremony is scheduled for Monday at the Osuntokun Pavilion, Government House Grounds, Ado-Ekiti.
