President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to perform Umrah (the lesser Hajj).
The President arrived in Jeddah aboard the presidential aircraft after departing the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. Upon arrival, he was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Yakubu Gambo, alongside Saudi Arabia’s Head of Royal Protocol, Ahmad bin Thafir.
According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the visit serves as a period for spiritual reflection, devotion, and prayers for Nigeria’s peace, unity, stability, and continued economic progress.
During his stay in the holy city of Makkah, President Tinubu will perform the prescribed Islamic rituals associated with the lesser pilgrimage and offer prayers for divine guidance in steering the nation’s affairs.
