Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has questioned the record of former Rivers State Governor and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, during his 24 years in public office.
Wike challenged Amaechi to identify projects he attracted to Rivers State during his years in government, saying the former governor should account for his contributions to the development of the state.
The FCT Minister made the remarks while speaking on the performance and development of Rivers State, amid renewed political exchanges between the two former political allies.
He questioned the impact of Amaechiโs years in public office and contrasted his record with projects and infrastructure delivered during his own tenure as governor of Rivers State.
Wike and Amaechi have remained on opposing sides of Rivers Stateโs political divide following their fallout, with both men publicly defending their respective records and political positions.
The latest remarks are expected to further fuel the ongoing political debate over the contributions of former and current political leaders to the development of Rivers State.
